Muses: Rita Hayworth

I think that one of the most famous redheads from above all times is Rita Hayworth. Born as Margarita Carmen Cansino in New York (1918), the truth is that Margarita wasn't a natural redhead, as she was born with dark hair. But Hollywood industry makes miracles, and found in this beautiful woman a gold mine.

It's so curious how the sentimental life of all these great Hollywood stars is so different from their films to their real life. I mean, Rita is know for being one of the most important actress from all the times, but she's famous too for saying "All the men I know go to bed with Gilda, but get up with me".

But she was a glamour icon and we love her so much... so, thanks for everything, Rita!

Muses: Lily Cole

Welcome back, redhead's lovers!

After our last model entry, the beautiful Karen Elson; today is the turn of another gorgeous redhead: Lily Cole.

Lily it's been modeling since she was 14 years old, and I think that it was not much older when I saw her in a magazine for the first time.

The good point about Lily is that she's not only a model or an actress; she's also stidying History of Art at Cambridge's University. That means that she's not one of those pretty girls worried only for the fame, but also for the intelect and her future.

One of the upcomings films where Lily appears is the controversial "Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll", a Marilyn Manson Project in wich Lily would be Alice.

Would she be a redhead Alice, or maybe blonde? Who knows! Until then, here you have a few more pictures of her.

Muses: Shirley Manson.

One of the first redheads I admired when I was a teenager was Shirley Manson. I think she's so beautiful and talented; her voice is so special and she's so stylish.

This was the first picture of Shirley Manson I saw when I had about 13 or 14 years old; and I was shocked. I loved everything on it, her face, the pose... everything! And on that time I loved (and still do) Garbage's music.

So, it's so funny, because I used to look like her when I was a teenager; even when I went to university there was a boy who called me "My personal Shirley Manson", so funny!

Anyway; i've always think that Shirley is a fighter girl; i mean, she's always talking about feminism and how she admires women who work and fight for their rights. She also participates with PETA and in some AIDS campaings.

At the moment, Garbage is having a stop in their career, but I really love listening to their old albums. They're still one of my favourite bands.

Muses: Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore is my redish favourite actress. She's simply perfect in almost all her films, and I consider her as one of the most beautiful women around the world.

Julianne is a natural redhead; in an old interview I read about her she said that when she was younger, some children used to laugh about her freckles and her red hair. I guess what they would think about her after seeing this gorgeous Bvlgari campaing.

Did you see one of her latest films, A Single Man? I think that it's a gorgeous film, and she's simply brilliant...

Wich Julianne Moore's is your favourite film? I love her in The Hours...

Trev (Danielle Watson) from This is England & This is England '86

Danielle Watson is a young actress who perfoms Trev in the film This is England and the tv show This is England '86.

At This is England, Trev was a blondie skingirl that didn't say much during all the film, but in that time she catched up my eye for a strange reason.

In the Channel 4 serie, This is England '86 (directed by Shane Meadows too), Trev is still with the gang of friends, and at the begining, she looks like another helper character, but everything changes in episode 3; I'm not telling you more because I want you to see the serie, wich is awesome!

The funny thing is that in the tv show, Trev is a redhead with a huge haircut that I love, so inspired on the original skingirls chelsey style!

I prefer her in redhead than in blonde, but she looks cute anyway, isn't she?

So, I hardly recomend you this serie; it ends next week and for those who doesn't speak a very good english I'm sorry to say that there are no subtitles by the moment... but I'm working on it :)!

Muses: Florence Welch (Florence + The Machine)

It is well know by everybody that I LOVE Florence. I adore her voice, her streght, her songs... I adore everything about her.

The first time I listened to Florence was about 3 years ago, before her debut album. I had some demos and I was simply fascinated by her art, with those gorgeous lyrics and poweful but simply messages.

And the dream came true when I saw her last winter here at Barcelona... one of the most gorgeous concerts I've ever seen in my whole life (and I've been in LOTS of concerts!)

So nowadays, I can say that Florence is one of my favourite redheads!

The first entry is about one of the most lovely models I've ever seen: Karen Elson.

Karen Elson (born 14 January 1979 in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England) is a British model, singer/songwriter and guitarist.


As a child, Elson attended North Chadderton School in Chadderton with her twin sister, film maker Kate Elson. She began working as a model as a teenager.

I really love Karen's music (she's got a soft voice and a very intimate sound, really boheme) and of course, Karen's hair; it's so great!In my opinion, she's one of the most beautiful models nowadays.
